Both green and White Maeng Da are from the same strain. Their only difference lies in when the leaves are harvested. White Maeng Da leaves are harvested earlier than the green variety of Maeng Da. In terms of properties, Green Maeng Da typically has a slightly slower aroma, although still considered a fast green when compared to the average within the green-vein category. In contrast, White Maeng Da is considered to be a white strain with a fast aroma and concentrated profile, with an overall faster aroma than Green MD.
