Red Bali and Red Maeng Da differ quite noticeably in terms of tempo within the red vein category. Red Maeng Da is widely known for having one of the quicker rhythms among red strains along with a fairly bold alkaloid concentration. Red Bali typically sits much further toward the slower end of the spectrum and is often regarded as one of the more traditional slow-leaning red varieties. Because of that difference in speed, Red Maeng Da generally presents a brisker pace while Red Bali maintains a deeper and more measured tempo.
